Well. That was all a bit more dramatic than we were expecting.

We bolted for home almost as soon as the sun was up. Just figured with MLE crawling all over, we shouldn't get ourselves caught up in it all. Hope that's okay.

On the upside, I was up with Bea all night for the full moon, and she was absolutely fine. Not even a twitch. Hopefully someone will stop stressing now. But then again, I shouldn't expect miracles.

With her godfather's example to follow, I don't reckon she'll have any choice but to become a troublemaker. I just hope she gives her poor old mum a break from time to time!

I know, as little as you said about it, that for Bea to pass her first full moon safely was a big relief. I'm so glad.

I finished knitting another blanket for her. I know, I know, but I enjoyed doing the last one so much, I couldn't resist to keep going. I'm waiting for Percy to get home again to send it to you, because his owl, Hermes, is a little better at managing packages than our Errol, who's older.

I feel quite badly that I was unable to see you and Bea after you brought her all this way. And, of course, I'm not surprised that there was no alteration in her during the moon, but I quite understand both your apprehension and your relief. And I'm very sorry I couldn't help reassure you as you kept vigil on the night of the moon.

I shall be leaving on my summer rambles in a few weeks, and I could come to New London then. Or if there is any cause for concern between now and then, I could pop down briefly at any time.
